2014 Easter newsletter
We have once again come to Easter, the holiest day in the Christian calendar. This is the day where we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. In devout countries, the entire week is held sacred, with several holidays punctuating the special time.
Many of our devout users send prayer requests during this time, sometime even more than one, for friend and family. Aligning their prayers with the special time of Easter and the holiness of the place where it all happened gives a special significance and power to their prayers.
It is a very common activity during this time to think about the Passion of Jesus Christ. This reflection details the agonies and humiliations that he suffered on the way to the Cross. The Stations of the Cross in the Old City of Jerusalem mark where significant events recorded in Scripture took place.
The last few of these stations take place within the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, the holiest church in Christianity. Here, the body of Christ was crucified, anointed, buried, and resurrected. Scholars from around the globe agree that it is this spot where these events took place.
With the resurrection of Jesus, we gained access to Heaven and to our Heavenly Father once again. The blood of Christ washed away our sins and left us reborn. On Easter Day, we celebrate His ultimate sacrifice and his conquering of death, which is the wages of sin.
Reflect on Christ’s life during this time, and consider sending a prayer of thankfulness through Holy Land Prayer to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher.
Holylandprayer.com would like to offer you – a dedicated prayer warrior in our community – the opportunity to send a prayer and light a candle for just $14.90 (normally $19.90).
You can send one request or multiple requests for you, family, friends, and other people in need.
This offer is only good for the 2 weeks so please be sure to send your prayer requests before Sunday April 20th.
This is the busiest time of the year for the Church, so please send your prayers well before the actual date of Easter so we can pray for you during Holy Week.
This is a special gift from us to dedicated members in our community who have sent prayers in the past. Please don’t send this link to other people.
