"Our priest told us abut this site. Ever since, any time I feel the need to connect with Jesus, I use your wonderful service. Thank you!!!"
- Cassandra, Miami, FL

"My two sons are serving in Iraq and I feel like I haven't slept for the last two and a half years because I'm worried. One of the only things that makes me feel I can do something for my boys is when I send prayer to this unique place. Please pray for them to come back safely."

prayer request sample prayer request Praying is the oldest form of devotion and is a major component of any belief. Praying is a basic act of communicating with God; the prayer can be done in a spontaneous way or by the holy text.

The most common and universal prayer is the Lord’s Prayer which is how Jesus taught us, his disciples, how to pray:

After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. Matthew 6:9-13

Prayers are often sent during times of trouble. The current recession has unfortunately become a popular reason for a recent influx of prayers. Other times people pray are in times of grief and despair or when someone is ill. Studies have shown patients recover more quickly when they pray and when they are prayed for. People also pray to give thanks to the Almighty for finding love, having children, getting a new job or for their good health and fortune. Many people pray to Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior to find the hope to carry on. Others pray on behalf of family and friends. Make your prayer at the holiest site in the world, the site where Jesus gave his life for us.
