I truly need prayers for my very difficult and horrendous situation. Last year we had a builder lie, cheat, scam and commit a fraud and theft of our earnest money deposit for a house. He and the realtor have done this to others as of last month there are 16 others and I did my best to call the police, report them both to both NC and SC real estate commission to no avail. I called 8 attorneys for help only one called me back. She has been dragging this out, and in the first few months with the deadlines she kept giving him extra time and one day she would say one thing and the next she would say something else. When I called her out on the constant changing from today and tomorrow she said "I AM THE ONE CONFUSED"….she has been quite unprofessional at times, defensive, and actually has told so many lies that even I cannot keep track. She sends me an invoice every month and I must admit between this nightmare, and then my son losing his job, we had no place to live, we were living out of suitcases for close to 3 years in searching for a home. During the last 2 years I also was being treated my second round of chemo for my cancer, and went into remission last March, but all the while the builder was ignoring the return of my money I could not have my blood tested bec. of not having a permanent home address. She went to court on March 8th, and actually stated it was virtual hearing, that we "alleged" that there were other charges, ie; all the rent bec. of not being able to buy a house since he took half of our down payment. I had to move back to TX so I could return to my oncologist to get blood drawn to ensure I was still in remission and bec. of my SS being less than 2K a month, and my son not having a job, I had to use part of the other half to prepay 6months rent. This attorney, has been trying to get rid of us, at least that is how we feel, and she sent over last months invoice and she blatantly lied about two phone calls billing and reveiwing documents and NOW we must find another attorney. She never filed the motion from the March 8th hearing, we won the judgement to get back the earnest money, we made an offer to settle, and she goes away for a week, prior to sending offer, leaving us in limbo, and when she returned NEVER advised us of the response until 3 days later after we sent her an email on the 2nd day. He had his attorney file a motion to dismiss the judgement and this attorney must GO. I truly cannot take much more and need my money back asap….I only have enough left for another month and then not sure what we are going to do. The prepaid rent ends this month and since my son just got a job will be able to pay that but he does not make enough to cover all the bills we have. I am deep debt all because of the unethical behavior of the realtor, builder and now I can easily confirm my attorney has been just as unethical with her billings…..I NEED HELP!!!!! I am so depressed and overwhelmed that I cannot focus or think straight, and finally started yesterday going through all invoices, (she does delete them each month) and I had to request all of them be sent to me to find out that I am missing now over $600.00.
