Prayer of Thankfulness for the Birth of Jesus
Heavenly Father, we come before you to celebrate the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. We celebrate the miracle of God coming to earth as a baby. Because of His birth, He gave us the right to eternal life. During this Christmas season, help us to experience the story of the birth of Christ as though it were the first time we ever heard it. Allow us to watch, as wise men who daily commanded great respect, humbly traveled to a stable and knelt with gifts in hand before a baby who was Christ the King, Lord of Lords. Help us to remember to live our life proclaiming the great message of that night in our daily actions, not only during the Christmas season, but each and every day. Amen.
Prayer for Remembering the Reason for the Christmas Season
Lord, during all the hustle bustle of the holiday season, I want to stop and spend an intimate moment from time to time with you. You are the most important piece in my life. You are the beginning and the ending of each of my days, and you are the real reason for the Christmas season. Thank you for loving me, and giving me eternal life because of the birth of Jesus Christ.

Lord, I want to thank you for walking with me, and those that I love, through the seasons of our lives. For the wintertime, we are held safe within your arms through the cold and darkness. In the hope of springtime, we are filled with new promise and a bountiful life each and every year. For summertime, with it’s days full of warmth and color. And for crisp, autumn days as colorful leaves fall to seed new growth. You are always with us in all things, and in all seasons. Amen.
